Football

The Premier League title race is still wide open after the top seven all won last weekend, helping numerous accas along the way (don’t forget you can place accas via our mobile site too now!).

Champions Manchester United are 33/1 shots to retain their title, but they could shorten those odds with victory at Chelsea – themselves 3/1 to win the league – on Sunday.

The sides met three times at Stamford Bridge last season; United winning 3-2 in the league and the Blues winning 5-4 in the Capital One Cup and 1-0 in the FA Cup. For this one, we have the Supremacy spread betting price as Chelsea/Man United 0.6-0.8.

First up on Saturday sees a resurgent Sunderland take on inconsistent Southampton. The Black Cats have lost just one in their last nine as Gus Poyet starts to influence his style of play while the Saints had won only one in nine in the league before last weekend’s victory over West Brom.

We have the Supremacy price for this one as Southampton/Sunderland (h) 0.1-0.3.

There are then five three o’clock kick-offs; Arsenal/Fulham 1.9-2.1, Palace/Stoke 0.2-0.4, Man City/Cardiff 2.3-2.5, Norwich/Hull 0.15-0.35 and Newcastle/West Ham (h) 0.15-0.35.

The 5.30pm game sees free-scoring Liverpool take on spluttering Aston Villa. Total Goal Minutes made up at 415 in the Reds’ 5-3 win at Stoke on Sunday. TGMs for this one are 167-182.

Tottenham journey to sliding Swansea for Sunday’s 1.30pm game, with the Supremacy price Tottenham/Swansea (h) 0.15-0.35. Chelsea v Man United follows at 4pm before the Monday night game when surprise package Everton travel to West Brom. We have Everton 5/4 favourites to take the win, West Brom 11/5 and the draw 9/4.

With the Champions League last 16 returning next month, our fixed odds outright prices have Bayern Munich 9/4 favourites, Real Madrid 9/2, Barcelona 5/1, Dortmund 10/1, Chelsea 12/1, Atletico Madrid 12/1, Paris St Germain 14/1, Manchester City and United both 16/1 and Arsenal 33/1.

We’ve also now released further World Cup betting markets including Group spread betting indices and a range of other fixed odds markets.

Will England get out of their tough group? England’s 25:10:5 Group Index price is 10.25-11.75 and their fixed odds price to qualify is 4/6.

Tennis

The weather has been hot enough to make water bottles melt, but Andy Murray kept his cool in round one of his first major since back surgery.

Murray, an 8-1 shot to win the Australian Open, breezed past Go Soeda 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 in his opener, meaning X-Courts made up at just 30 from a spread of 57-65.

This morning (Thursday) he faces Frenchman Vincent Millot in round two with play scheduled to start at around 9.30am UK time. Will it be another stroll in the sun? We have X-Courts at 49-57.

As for our Outright Spread Index (60 to winner, 40 to runner-up, 20 to losing semi-finalists, 10 to losing quarter-finalists and 5 to losing last 16 players), we have Novak Djokovic at 42-45, Rafael Nadal at 25-28, Murray 17-20, Tomas Berdych 15-18, Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro both 12-15 and David Ferrer 9-12.

In the women’s side of the draw, Serena Williams is 42-45, Victoria Azarenka 23-26, Maria Sharapova 17-20, Na Li 15-18, Simona Halep 9-12 and Agnieska Radwanska 8-11.

England’s miserable tour Down Under continued at the weekend as they were comprehensively dismantled by six wickets with 26 balls remaining in the first ODI against Australia.

The ragged tourists will be hoping somehow to try and restore some pride in the second ODI in Brisbane on Friday.

Our traders don’t give Alastair Cook’s men much hope as they are 5/2 shots and the Aussies 3/10 favourites.

Elsewhere we’ll be covering the Pakistan v Sri Lanka 3rd Test and all the action from the Big Bash.

Some of the top names on the PGA Tour take part in the 55th annual Humana Challenge in California’s Coachella Valley.

Brian Gay, last year’s winner, was a 40/1 shot on our fixed odds prices before the tournament’s start, with Zach Johnson 12/1 favourite, Webb Simpson 14/1, Brandt Snedeker 16/1, Keegan Bradley 18/1, Harris English 20/1 and Billy Horschel, Charles Howell III and Bill Haas all 25/1.
