Golf

After Phil Mickelson recorded a Scottish and English Open double last year, in-form Justin Rose is out to repeat that feat as the 143rd Open Championship gets underway at Royal Liverpool today (Thursday).

However, Tiger Woods will also be the centre of attention on his return from injury on the same Hoylake course that saw him lift the Claret Jug in 2006.

We are paying out eight places on our 80-40-30-25-20-15-10-5 spread betting Leaderboard and six places each way on our fixed odds prices plus we are offering two Finishing Positions markets, one with a 72 max make-up and one with no max make-up.

We also have a whole host of specials on offer including a Round 1 25-10-5 Live Index, Live Round 1 Matchbets, End of Round 1 Leaderboard, Winning Score, Winning Margin, Players Under Par, Players Making Cut, Lowest Round Score, Highest Round Score and a variety of Group Markets.

We’re also covering the Marathon Classic on the LPGA tour and have USPGA Championship and Ryder Cup long-term prices out.

Football

The action may be over in Brazil but you can re-live the highlights from a memorable tournament by reading our Top 10 Spread Betting Moments of the 2014 World Cup.

Ahead of the start of The Premier League on August 16th and Championship on August 9th, we have plenty of in-play football fixed odds and spread betting matches on offer taking in Europa League qualifying, the MLS, Swiss Super League, Austria Bundesliga, Brazilian Serie A, J-League, Norwegian Eliteserien, Swedish Allsvenskanliga, Polish Ekstraklasa, Danish Superliga and League of Ireland Premier Division. We’ll also have live betting on all the big friendlies taking place.

As for the long-term Premier League winner prices, Chelsea have been cut from 2/1 to become new 15/8 favourites, with Manchester City lengthening from 15/8 to 21/10. Man United have shortened from 11/2 to 5/1, Arsenal have moved significantly from 10/1 to 6/1 after signing Alexis Sanchez, while Liverpool have drifted from 13/2 to 9/1 after selling Luiz Suarez.

Cricket

The 2nd Test between England and India gets underway at Lord’s today (Thursday) with under-pressure captain Alastair Cook needing runs to silence the critics. After posting just 5 in the first Test, we have his Test Runs at 77-84 for this one.

Joe Root, who top scored for England in the first Test with an unbeaten 154 during a record 198 last-wicket stand with James Anderson at Trent Bridge, made 200 not out on his last appearance for England at Lord’s against Sri Lanka last month. We have his Test Runs at 71-78.

Our fixed odds Match Odds have England at 13/8, India 3/1 and the draw 6/5.

We’ll be in-play on the latest from the Sri Lanka v South Africa 1st Test, which saw South Africa end day one on 268 for five, plus we’ll be covering all the latest action from the Caribbean T20 Cup and the Natwest T20 Blast.

Cycling

Alberto Contador had to withdraw from the Tour de France on Monday during stage 10 after suffering a heavy crash that left him with a broken tibia.

This moved current yellow jersey holder Vincenzo Nibali to a heavy favorite at 1/5 to win the Tour with Richie Porte, the Australian lead rider for Team Sky, at 13/2.

F1

Lewis Hamilton’s victory at the British Grand Prix, coupled with team-mate Nico Rosberg’s failure to finish, means the Brit has closed the gap on his German rival to four points in the race for the championship.

This weekend Rosberg will be the one aiming to claim victory on home soil as the battle between the Mercedes men continues on the Hockenheim circuit.

Our traders have Hamilton as the 4/7 favourite with Rosberg 15/8 then a big gap to Valtteri Bottas at 20/1 and Daniel Ricciardo and Felipe Massa both 25/1.

To give you a bit of interest away from just who will win the race, our 80-60-50-40-30-25-20-15-10-5 spread betting Race Index pays out on the top 10 finishers.

Boxing

Kell Brook meets Shawn Porter in the early hours of Sunday morning (3am), in a clash for the IBF Welterweight title.

The fight will take place in California, but Sheffield born Brook can take confidence from the fact he has fought in America before, when he knocked out Luis Galarza in December 2011 on the undercard of the Ward v Froch fight.

We have Kell Brook at 2/1 to be the fight winner and Shawn Porter at 2/5, with the draw at 22/1.

The following week Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury go head to head in Manchester in a heavyweight rematch and world title eliminator, which is sure to be an ill-tempered affair if this week’s press conference is anything to go by.

We have Fury as the 1/2 favourite, Chisora 13/8 and the draw 22/1. Our spread betting Fight Minutes quote is 25.25 - 26.75.

Politics

David Cameron’s cabinet reshuffle seems to have had little impact on the betting surrounding the next General Election.

For Most Seats we have Labour at 4/5, Conservatives even money, UKIP 66/1 and Liberal Democrats 150/1.

For Overall Majority we have Labour 15/8, Conservatives 5/2, UKIP 80/1, Liberal Democrats 200/1 and No Overall Majority 11/10.

As for who will be the next Prime Minister after David Cameron, Ed Miliband remains 4/5 favourite followed by Boris Johnson at 10/1, Theresa May at 14/1, Yvette Cooper 14/1 and Phillip Hammond 25/1, George Osborne, Michael Gove, William Hague and Chuka Umunna all 25/1.

The Scottish Independence Referendum takes place on September 18th and our traders reckon it’s going to end as a ‘No’ vote.

That’s 1/7 to be the outcome while a ‘Yes’ vote is 9/2.
