SPORTSUPDATENEW

Football

After defeat in their opener against Italy at the weekend, England need victory tonight (Thursday) against a Uruguay side surprisingly rolled over by Costa Rica on Saturday.

England are favourites in the betting at 11/10 for the win with Uruguay 13/5 and the draw 9/4. On the spread betting Supremacy it’s England/Uruguay 0.25 – 0.45.

As for whether Luis Suarez will be a threat on his return from injury, our traders have their own view as we’ve gone industry best price on the Liverpool man to be first or last scorer at 6/1. We’re also best price Daniel Sturridge 2/1 Anytime Scorer and Danny Welbeck 11/1 first or last scorer and 4/1 Anytime Scorer.

If the action in Brazil isn’t enough, the Premier League fixtures came out yesterday whetting the appetite for the new season already. We’ve got Man City 15/8 favourites to retain their title, Chelsea 2/1 and Man United ahead of Liverpool in the betting with each at 11/2 and 13/2 respectively and Arsenal a distant 10/1.

Joe Root top scored in the first Test thanks to an imperious unbeaten double century in his first innings.  We have his second Test Runs quote at 70-77. Gary Balance hit a maiden Test ton in his second innings and we also have his second Test Runs quote at 70-77.

Motor Sports

The next race of the F1 season moves to Austria at a track last used for a Grand Prix in 2003. Only four of the 22 drivers have ever raced on the rebadged Red Bull Ring in an F1 car before; Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button.

The explosive Canadian Grand Prix two weeks ago was the first time a Mercedes driver failed to win as Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo won the race in a thrilling finale.

However, our traders are still strongly siding with championship leaders Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton to continue their overall dominance.

Hamilton is 4/6 favourite to win and Rosberg 13/8. On our 80-60-50-40-30-25-20-15-10-5 spread betting Race Index, Hamilton is 58 – 62 and Rosberg 53 – 57.
