Rugby

It's the start of the new European Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup this weekend, the competitions which will replace the Heineken Cup and the Amlin Challenge Cup.

The new format sees five pools of four with the five group winners and three best runners-up making it through to the knockout stages.

We'll have coverage of all the action with selected games in-play including tomorrow night's opener of Harlequins v Castres Olympique.

We'll be in-play on the fourth India v West Indies ODI tomorrow (Friday) with the five-match series currently tied at 1-1 after the third ODI was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

American Football

Denver Broncos have replaced current champions Seattle Seahawks as the outright Superbowl favourites after last week's results.

Seattle went down 30-23 to Dallas and are now 5/1 on our fixed odds outrights. Denver beat New York Jets 31 – 17 and are now 10/3 to triumph come February next year.

Andy Murray is competing in the ATP Vienna for the first time ever as he bids to try and work his way into the top eight world rankings required to secure a spot at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals.

All eyes are on the expected next UK General Election in May of 2015. Labour remain favourites to get most seats at 8/11 – despite leader Ed Miliband forgetting part of his speech at the party conference recently.

The Conservatives are closing the gap slightly to 11/10 to get most seats, UKIP 66/1 and the Lib Dems 400/1.

In terms of overall majority, no overall majority is 5/6, Labour majority has drifted to 9/4, Conservative majority is 3/1, UKIP majority is 80/1 and Lib Dem majority is 200/1.

The betting for next Prime Minister after David Cameron has Miliband as 10/11 favourite, Boris Johnson is 17/4, George Osborne and Theresa May both 12/1, Philip Hammond 18/1, Yvette Cooper, Michael Gove and Chuka Umunna all 22/1.
