The second major of the season, the U.S. Open starts this afternoon (Thursday) from Chambers Bay with coverage on Sky Sports 4 from 5pm.

Yesterday tournament hosts the Czech Republic lost 2-1 to Denmark while favourites Germany drew 1-1 with Serbia.

The big race of the day at Royal Ascot today is the Gold Cup at 4.20pm with Forgotten Rules the 5/2 favourite ahead of Mizzou at 5/1, Kingfisher 17/2, Vent De Force at 9/1 and Simenon at 10/1.

The first race is at 2.30pm with coverage on Channel 4 and Racing UK.

England recorded a record ODI run-chase to make 350 and beat New Zealand by seven wickets with six overs to spare to level the series at 2-2.

It leaves things dramatically poised for the final match of the series on Saturday at Chester-le-Street with coverage starting from 10am on Sky Sports 2.

Lewis Hamilton leads the championship by 17 points from team-mate Nico Rosberg with Sebastian Vettel a further 26 points behind in third.
