Football

It was a tough opening week in the Champions League for the English clubs, so can Spurs and Everton fare better in the Europa League tonight (Thursday)?

Tottenham play away at Partizan Belgrade for a 6pm kick-off with Spurs 8/11, the draw 13/5, Belgrade 15/4 and our spread betting Supremacy price Tottenham/Belgrade (h) 0.7 – 0.9.

Everton host Wolfsburg at 8.05pm with the Toffees even money, the draw 12/5, Wolfsburg 13/5 and our spread betting Supremacy price Everton/Wolfsburg 0.35 – 0.55.

Golf

Politics

Today's the day when the voters go to the polls for the Scottish Independence Referendum and even if you may not be eligible to vote directly you can still get involved by playing our fixed odds or spread betting prices.

Our blogger has highlighted five ways to bet on the Scottish Independence Referendum.

As of Thursday morning, a Yes vote was out to 4/1 while No had shortened to 1/6. Our spreads for the Yes percentage of votes is 45.25 – 47.25 and for No 52.75 – 54.75 while the quote for turnout percentage has risen from 79.5 – 81.5 last week to 83.25 – 85.25.

The result of the referendum could have course have implications on the next general election. Our Next UK General Election fixed odds prices currently have Labour 4/6 to get most seats, the Conservatives 6/5, UKIP 66/1 and the Lib Dems 400/1.

In terms of overall majority, no overall majority is 6/5, Labour majority is 13/8, Conservative majority is 14/5, UKIP majority is 80/1 and Lib Dem majority is 200/1.

Rugby

We're on to week three of the new Aviva Premiership season and after champions Northampton Saints fell to a 20-16 defeat at Wasps, Saracens are the new outright favourites to be regular season winner at 13/10 with Leicester at 11/4, Saints now 3/1 and Bath 9/1.

In terms of Grand Final winner, Saracens are 8/5, Leicester 5/2, Saints 11/4 and Bath 9/1.

Seattle Seahawks remain 17/4 outright favourites to defend their Superbowl crown despite going down 30-21 to San Diego Chargers last week.

Week three of the season sees the Seahawks take on Denver Broncos who are 4/1 second favourites in our fixed odds outright prices.

Our Points Supremacy quote for the 9.25pm Sunday game is Seattle/Denver 4 – 6. Our in-play coverage starts with Atlanta/Tampa Bay in the early hours of Friday morning UK time.

George Groves is back in action for the first time since his knockout defeat to Carl Froch at Wembley Stadium on May 31.

The Londoner takes on Christopher Rebrasse in a WBC eliminator at Wembley Arena on Saturday night.

Groves is 1/16 to win the fight, 1/3 by stoppage and 3/1 by a decision after 12 rounds. Rebrasse is 8/1 to win, 18/1 by stoppage and 12/1 by a decision after 12 rounds. The draw is 33/1.

Nico Rosberg holds a 22 point advantage over Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the championship race with just six F1's to go.

On Sunday it's the Singapore Grand Prix with Hamilton the 4/5 favourite ahead of Rosberg at 2/1 and Daniel Ricciardo at 11/1.
