Cricket

Alastair Cook is a man under pressure after hitting just 10 and 22 in each innings as England lost to India by 95 runs in the second Test at Lord's to go 1-0 down in the five Test series.

The once free-scoring captain has now hit just 606 in his last 13 Tests at an average of just 24.24 per innings but our traders still have him 4/1 joint favourite to be top England batsman for the third Test, which starts at the Rose Bowl on Sunday, along with Gary Ballance, Ian Bell and Joe Root.

In terms of match odds, England are 6/4 for the win, India 9/4 and the draw 13/8.

We'll be in-play on the Sri Lanka v South Africa 2nd Test, after the tourists won the first Test by 75 runs, plus we'll be covering all the latest action from the Caribbean T20 Cup and the Natwest T20 Blast.

Formula One

After an eventful German Grand Prix last weekend, which saw Lewis Hamilton claw his way back from 20th on the grid to eventually finish third behind winner Nico Rosberg and runner-up Valtteri Bottas, attentions this weekend turn to the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Rosberg currently leads the championship on 190 points from Hamilton on 176 but our traders can't split the pair when it comes to the predicted season-end Championship Points with prices for both 335 – 341. In terms of the fixed odds as to who will be champion at the end of the season, Hamilton is 4/5 and Rosberg 10/11.

For this Sunday's race, Hamilton is the 4/6 favourite and Rosberg is 7/4.

Politics

David Cameron's recent cabinet reshuffle seems to have had little impact on the betting surrounding the next General Election.

For Most Seats we have Labour at 4/5, Conservatives even money, UKIP 66/1 and Liberal Democrats 150/1.

For Overall Majority we have Labour 15/8, Conservatives 5/2, UKIP 80/1, Liberal Democrats 200/1 and No Overall Majority 11/10.

As for who will be the next Prime Minister after David Cameron, Ed Miliband remains 4/5 favourite followed by Boris Johnson at 10/1, Theresa May at 14/1, Yvette Cooper 14/1 and Phillip Hammond 25/1, George Osborne, Michael Gove, William Hague and Chuka Umunna all 25/1.

The Scottish Independence Referendum takes place on September 18th and our traders reckon it's going to end as a ‘No' vote.
That's 1/7 to be the outcome while a ‘Yes' vote is 9/2.
