Football

The World Cup continues apace and as Luis Suarez dominates the headlines for the wrong reasons yet again, we have plenty of fixed odds and spread betting prices for you to get your teeth into.

We have tasty Tournament Outrights (where there have been more goals than yellow cards so far), bite-sized Team Specials and mouth-watering match odds for today’s final group game clashes, which feature Portugal v Ghana and USA v Germany at 5pm and Algeria v Russia and South Korea v Belgium at 9pm.

If you’re finding England’s early exit from Brazil hard to swallow, the Premier League fixtures are now out whetting the appetite for the new season already. We’ve got Man City 15/8 favourites to retain their title, Chelsea 2/1 and Man United ahead of Liverpool in the betting with each at 11/2 and 13/2 respectively and Arsenal a distant 10/1. In the Championship we have Fulham and Cardiff the 7/1 with favourites with Derby, Norwich and Wigan all 10/1.

Tennis

Week one of Wimbledon is now in full swing and we’ll be trading up to 22 matches in-play a day from SW19 as the action hots up. If you’re new to spread betting on tennis take a look at our guide to betting on tennis here.

Defending champion Andy Murray stormed his way into the third round after a 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 win over Blaz Rola yesterday where X-Courts made up at just 12 (6 + 6 + 0). Last year’s beaten finalist Novak Djokovic was pushed harder in a 6-4, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 win over Radek Stepanek, where X-Courts made up at 126 (24 + 18 + 42 + 42).

Today Rafael Nadal takes on Lukas Rosol (X-Courts 88 – 96), who shocked the Spaniard at the All England Club two years ago, while Roger Federer plays Gilles Muller (X-Courts 97 – 105). In the ladies’ competition, British hopes rest on Heather Watson, who faces Angelique Kerber, second up on Centre Court.

Golf

Tiger Woods makes his long-awaited return from injury at the Quicken Loans National at Congressional, with punters keeping a close eye on the former number one’s state of fitness ahead of next month’s Open Championship.

Before the start, Woods was a 28/1 shot alongside Justin Rose on our fixed odds prices behind Jordan Spieth and Jason Day at 25/1. On our in-play spread betting Round 1 Leaderboard (based on top eight players at end of round 1 receiving 80 for first place, 40 for second, 30 for third, 25 for fourth, 20 for fifth, 15 for sixth, 10 for seventh and five for eighth) Woods’ spread was 4 - 6.

Meanwhile, US Open champion Martin Kaymer, back in his homeland this weekend for the BMW International Open, found himself well down the leaderboard on day one of the tournament in Köln.

Setting the pace were Andreas Harto from Denmark and Carlos del Moral from Spain, who both carded 68 to end the opening round on four under par.

We’ll also be betting on the Senior Players Championship and the NW Arkansas Championship.

After England fell to an agonising penultimate-ball defeat to Sri Lanka in the second Test to lose the two-Test series, Alastair Cook is under pressure for a much more positive showing in the five-Test series against India, which starts on Wednesday next week.

Before that we’ll have in-play cricket spread betting and fixed odds betting on the West Indies v New Zealand third Test from Port of Spain, Trinidad. New Zealand won the first Test by 123 runs but the hosts struck back to take the second by 10 wickets so all is to play for in the deciding Test.

Elsewhere we’ll also be covering all the latest action in the Natwest T20 Blast while our long term fixed odds prices for 2015 Cricket World Cup winner have Australia as 10/3 favourites, South Africa 9/2, India 5/1, Sri Lanka 13/2, Pakistan and New Zealand 8/1 and England 9/1.
