Football

Manchester United’s miserable season plumbed new depths with a powder puff display in their 2-0 midweek Champions League reverse, prompting our blogger to highlight why the Red Devils are officially the worst team in the Premier League. And Everton are the best. Read the Sports Betting Blog here.

As for our in-play betting, Spurs and Swansea will be out to try and improve on a miserable showing for British clubs in Europe so far as they play their Europa last 32 second legs. Swansea kick-off at Napoli at 6pm (Napoli 40/85, draw 3/1, Swansea 11/2) and Spurs host Dnipro at 8.05pm (Spurs 8/13, draw 11/4, Dnipro 17/4).

On Sunday it’s the League Cup final with Man City strong favourites over Sunderland. But remember what happened in the FA Cup final last year?! Our Supremacy price is Man City/Sunderland 1.65 - 1.85.

The Premier League action on Saturday features four 3pm kick-offs; Everton/West Ham 1.05 – 1.25, Chelsea/Fulham (h) 1.2 - 1.4, Hull/Newcastle 0.1 - 0.3 and Arsenal/Stoke (h) 0.8 - 1. Then at 5.30pm it’s in-form Liverpool against Southampton at St Mary’s. The Reds have been firing goals for fun recently and we have Total Goal Minutes for this one at 152 - 162.

Sunday’s three games all kick-off at 4.30pm due to the League Cup final; Aston Villa/Norwich 0.35 - 0.55, Swansea/Palace 0.55 - 0.75 and Tottenham/Cardiff 1.5 - 1.7.

Horse Racing

The Cheltenham chatter is building with the festival just under two weeks away, so to really get you in the mood for the Greatest Show on Turf, take a look at our Cheltenham Festival Infographic.

As for the betting, with Sprinter Sacre and Cue Card big name casualties, the Antepost prices have been showing some movement. Hurricane Fly and The New One lead the betting in the Champion Hurdle both at 3/1, Sire De Grugy is now the 7/4 favourite for the Champion Chase, Big Bucks is 2/1 in the World Hurdle and last year’s winner Bobs Worth 7/4 to retain his crown in the Gold Cup.

Cricket

England will be looking to put the painful memory of the winter tour to Australia behind them when they play the first of three ODIs against the West Indies in Antigua tomorrow (Friday).

Joe Root warmed up for the series with an unbeaten 104 in a victory over the UWI Vice Chancellor’s XI earlier in the week, while Ben Stokes made 58 and James Tredwell took three wickets.

But who will shine against the Windies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium from 1.30pm onwards UK time? Our traders make England slight favourites with a Supremacy price of 1 - 11.

Elsewhere, in the coming days we’ll have live betting on the South Africa v Australia third Test as well as all the action in the Asia Cup.

Rugby 

The Six Nations action pauses for a weekend so all eyes will be on club rugby and we’ll have coverage from the Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect Pro12, French Top 14 and Super Rugby.

The BT Sport live televised games from the Aviva Premiership are Bath v Saracens tomorrow night (Friday), Northampton v Gloucester on Saturday and Newcastle v Leicester on Sunday.

Some of the big names of the game are in Florida for the Honda Classic this weekend as the Sunshine State hosts the PGA tour for the first time.

The European tour will be played on the longest golf course in its history this week when the Tshwane Open takes place on the Els Club, Copperleaf, South Africa.
