Spread Bets of the Weekend

1. Brighton v West Ham – 8pm Saturday, Sky Sports PL
After Chelsea’s slip-up against Arsenal on Wednesday, West Ham’s glimmer of hope for Champions League football can be reignited if they grab a crucial victory at the AMEX Stadium against Brighton.

With the Seagulls already safe for another year of Premier League football and on an indifferent run of form with only one win in their last 6 matches, West Ham have been shaky themselves – losing 3 of their last 4 in a crucial run of games.

All 3 points would seem to be a must for David Moyes’ side if they still harbour European ambitions and playing a side with little to play for should be an ideal scenario for the Hammers.

West Ham are available at match odds of 29/20, against Brighton’s 9/5. Spreadex are also offering a West Ham/Brighton Goal Supremacy spread of 0-0.2, and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 125-135.

2. West Brom v Liverpool – 4.30pm Thursday, Sky Sports PL
With Liverpool knowing that the only thing they can do is win all their remaining games and hope for other results to go their way, on paper they couldn’t hope for a better fixture than at the already-relegated Baggies.

Although Sam Allardyce’s side grabbed a point in the previous H2H at Anfield, they were still in a fight for survival, and it would be a surprise for an unmotivated West Brom side to provide any issues for the top-4 chasing Liverpool side.

Consequently, the away side are huge favourites with Spreadex, with a West Brom/Liverpool (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.75-1.95 available, and match odds of Liverpool at 2/7 to Villa’s 17/2.

3. Everton v Sheffield Utd – 7pm Sunday, bt sport 1
Another Merseyside club aiming for an unlikely Champions League place, Everton may well end up rueing an indifferent period of form which could have put paid to their ambitions for this season.

However, this should be a perfect opportunity to grab three more crucial points, with long-relegated Sheffield Utd seemingly at rock-bottom, losing 8 of their last 10 matches. Everton have also won the last 2 H2Hs and will surely be confident of extending that run here.

The home side are strong favourites - with Spreadex offering an Everton/Sheff Utd Goal Supremacy spread of 1.2-1.4, alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.6-2.8 and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 134-144.
