League Cup Final, Liverpool v Newcastle, What Happens Next?

Real Betis have a seemingly promising position for a direct free kick – what happens next?

Spread Bets of the Weekend

1. Liverpool v Newcastle – 12.30pm Saturday, BT Sport 1
After dropping more ground in the top-4 race against Leeds, Liverpool will have to refocus against a Newcastle side who seem to have turned a corner in their aim to eliminate any risk of a relegation battle.

However, history would seem to be on Liverpool’s side - the Magpies have never won at Anfield in the Premier League.

The hosts are at a generous Liverpool/Newcastle Supremacy spread of 1.55-1.75, with match odds of 1/4 to Newcastle’s 9/1.

2. West Ham v Chelsea – 5.30pm Saturday, Sky Sports Premier League
The Hammers are still in with a great chance of nicking an unlikely Champions League place, but it will be imperative to get a positive result against Chelsea here – one of their key rivals for such a golden ticket.

After dropping to ten men and losing 3-2 late on against Newcastle, albeit a spirited fightback, the Hammers will hope to make home advantage count and get all three points against their London rivals – just like they did in the last home league H2H.

West Ham are at match odds of 7/2, against Chelsea’s 8/11. Spreadex are also offering a Chelsea/West Ham (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.7-0.9, and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 130-140.

3. Man City v Spurs – 4.30pm Sunday, Sky Sports Main Event
Although it won’t be another Mourinho against Guardiola showdown, Spurs will have a chance to end their long trophy drought in the EFL Cup Final at Wembley, where City recently saw their quadruple dreams end in the FA Cup against Chelsea.

The last 5 matchups between these two sides have been split down the middle – with a draw and two victories for each in that time, while the one-off nature of cup football must also be taken into consideration.

League leaders City are certainly favoured to get the job done though, and Spreadex are offering a confident Man City/Tottenham Goal Supremacy spread of 0.95-1.15, alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.7-2.9 and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 137-147.
