Midweek's Big Winning Bets

midweeks-big-winning-bets-13052022-landing-page-header

The end is nigh on the football season, but that doesn’t mean the drama stops and the Dante Festival at York is a prime example of some of the summer sport we can look forward to once the final whistle has been blown.

In cricket, the County Championship is alive with top quality red ball operators like Mohamed Rizwan, Marnus Labuschagne, and Ben Stokes all in action ahead of summer test matches and in rugby league, Huddersfield Giants secured a hard-fought win over a youthful Wigan Warriors outfit.

With action everywhere you look, we run through some big spread make-ups ahead of a weekend that is packed to the rafters with high class sporting action.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

DAKOTA GOLD – RACE INDEX (SETTLED AT 50)

The Dante Festival at York has seen the highest quality racing this week and there was a victory for a Knavesmire favourite in the second race on Tuesday.

Dakota Gold is a horse that draws plenty of affection and there will have no doubt been plenty of interest in his Race Index spread which was 4-6 as they went into the stalls. With C&D form figures of 21121 buyers were hoping for at least a place, but they were rewarded with more than that.

Bolting out of the gates at the start, Connor Beasley’s mount set the pace for nearly all of the six furlongs to just touch off Makanah and in doing so became the winning most horse at the course.

A real case of horses for courses then and buyers landed their own pot of gold as they landed a win equal to 46x their stake.

LEICESTER CITY v NORWICH CITY – SHIRTS x BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 0)

Two sides with nothing to play for met at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday and it was the perfect match for Leicester to get back to winning ways after a rough end to the season in the league.

The Foxes had been looking to raid the Europa Conference League but came up short against Roma in the semi-finals, effectively ending their season. They still had enough about them to see off the minor threat of Norwich City, who are going down with a whimper.

As an example of how little was on the line, referee Simon Hooper didn’t even get his cards out, much to the delight of sellers on all booking-related markets. One of the bigger wins was on the Shirts x Bookings market which was at 1550-1725 before kick-off but settled at zero.

Sellers didn’t see red, as they came home with a win equal to 1550x their stake.

REAL MADRID v LEVANTE – VINICIUS JUNIOR SUPER MEGA-MINUTES (SETTLED AT 450)

Brazil are the outright favourite to win the World Cup and in a team full of talent, Real Madrid wonderkid Vinicius Junior looks set to shine on the biggest stage of all in Qatar. Before all of that though he was busy scoring a hat-trick for his club side as they put six past a hapless Levante outfit.

It was his first hat-trick in the famous white shirt, and it was also a good night for those who bought his Super Mega-Minutes. This market aggregates the goal minutes a player scores in, but the second goal counts double and the third counts treble and before the match the spread was 39-45.

The first of his goals was probably the pick of the finishes, it is worth watching the second for the way Karim Benzema embarrasses the Levante keeper, but it was the third which got buyers’ pules racing as it was scored in the 83rd minute. Counting treble in a market that ultimately made up at 450, buyers were left cashing in for 405x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
