Midweek's Big Winning Bets

midweeks-big-winning-bets-27052022-landing-page-header

This weekend sees the biggest club match in football take place (Forest and Huddersfield fans may well disagree on that point) as two titans of European football meet in Paris.

Liverpool and Real Madrid met in the final in 2018 and if Saturday’s match is anywhere near as entertaining as that, we will be in for a treat.

Before all that, we review the big winners from a week that saw Sawbuck equal the record for the biggest priced winner when he returned 300/1 at Punchestown on Tuesday.

In cricket, the T20 blast got underway and after 16 gruelling weeks, we now have our final four in the Darts Premier League. Michael van Gerwen, Joe Cullen, James Wade, and Jonny Clayton will all travel to Berlin for the play-offs.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

KENT SPITFIRES v SOMERSET – KENT JOY OF SIX! (SETTLED AT 0)

As mentioned above, the T20 Blast is back, and Somerset got off to the perfect start when they secured a victory away at Kent.

The visitors limited Kent to 162/6 in the first innings and they dealt with the top order very well as Zak Crawley, Daniel Bel-Drummond, Sam Billings, and Joe Denly managed to score just 26 runs between them.

That was great news for those who had sold on the Kent Joy Of Six! market which awarded 25 points for each six scored by Bell-Drummond, Crawley, and Billings. Before the match, this spread was set at 79-87 and with none of the trio able to clear the boundary it settled at zero.

Sellers were in the money in Canterbury as they landed a win equal to 79x their stake.

PUNCHESTOWN 24th MAY – MULTI-MULES (SETTLED AT 1022)

The Multi-Mules market sees the racecard number of the first placed horse multiplied by that of the second and when played in a market like this one, is aggregated throughout the full card. Before runners went to post in the 13:20, the market was set at 671-746 and little did we know the drama we were in store for.

As mentioned above, Sawbuck won the opener, but with Ballybawn Belter in second 192 points were added to the total. If that was a good start for buyers, the second race was even better as Frontline Worker’s victory over Diamondinthemud added a whopping 288 to the total.

With some smaller fields later in the card, the rate slowed, but the final market settled at 1022 as buyers landed a win equal to 276x their initial starting stake.

ROMA v FEYENOORD – GOALS x CORNERS x BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 500)

The inaugural Conference League Champions were crowned on Wednesday evening as Jose Mourinho’s Roma side just edged past Feyenoord to claim their first European trophy since a Fairs Cup win in 1961.

It was a good evening for the Portuguese manager, but also a good evening for those who sold on the Goals x Corners x Bookings market with a pre-match spread of 1025-1150 on offer.

With 10 corners and 50 booking points, sellers needed a maximum of two goals to land a profit. Thankfully for them, Nicolo Zaniolo’s first half strike was the only goal of the game as the final make-up came to 500, with sellers winning 525x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
