In the MLS, Real Salt Lake are on the attack deep into stoppage time, with Anderson Julio seemingly covered by two defenders - What Happens Next?
Leaders Liverpool welcome champions Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday in a game that could have a huge bearing on where the title ends up this season.
Industry best priced Spreadex have City as 29/20 favourites to take the three points back to Manchester, with Liverpool 19/10 for victory. After their 1-0 win at Chelsea last weekend, City are odds on to retain their title, 87/100, with Liverpool 4/1 third favourites, behind Chelsea (12/5).
This is the third of three big games in a week for Pep Guardiola’s side, who followed their hugely impressive win at Stamford Bridge with a battling display in defeat at PSG in the Champions League in midweek.
Conversely, Liverpool were slightly disappointed to only draw at Brentford in the Premier League last week, but were imperious in Europe, battering Porto 5-1 in Portugal on Tuesday.
Spreadex’s season spreads now have City as clear favourites to get the most points. City’s points spread is 86-87.5, Chelsea’s 81-82.5 and Liverpool’s 78-79.5.
The weekend starts with Manchester United hosting Everton. United lost 1-0 at home in last week’s early game against Aston Villa, but are as short as 1/2, the industry best price with Spreadex, to bounce back on Saturday. The Toffees are 13/2.
That man Cristiano Ronaldo saved United in midweek, scoring an injury time winner against Villarreal to secure three Champions League points, and he’s unsurprisingly favourite to get the first goal at Old Trafford at 13/5, 3/4 to score anytime.
Spreadex-sponsored Burnley are involved in a relegation six pointer with Norwich City, the only team below them in the table. The Clarets are best priced 10/11 to inflict Norwich’s 7th straight defeat to start the season, with the Canaries 17/5.European Football
One of the standout fixtures of any La Liga season is Atletico Madrid against Barcelona, and they face off on Saturday night. While champions Atletico, featuring former Barca strikers Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann, were winning away at AC Milan, Barca were being thrashed 3-0 for the second Champions League game running, this time at Benfica.
If Barca come off second best here – and the odds say they will given Spreadex have Atletico 87/100 for victory and Barca 10/3 – Ronald Koeman’s time at the club may be running out. Barca are out to 6/1 to win La Liga, behind Atletico 15/4 and favourites Real Madrid at 4/6.Click here to see all our latest Football spread betting and Football fixed odds betting prices. Chris Eubank Jnr will have to prepare for a whole new style when he fights late replacement Antoli Muratov at Wembley Arena on Saturday night. Muratov is a bit of an unknown, having stepped in on Monday when l Sven Elbir tested positive for Covid on Monday, and Eubank admits he has only seen about 5 minutes of Muratov in action.
This will be Eubank’s first fight since the untimely death of his brother Sebastian, and he will hope the emotion of the evening will carry him through in far from ideal circumstance.
Spreadex has Eubank as 1/100 favourite, with Muratov 14/1 and the draw at 40/1. Our spread on total fight minutes is 12.1-13.1. Click here to see all our latest Boxing spread betting and Boxing fixed odds betting prices. Or click here to find out more about Boxing spread betting.
St Helens are hot favourites to beat Leeds Rhinos tonight and secure a place in next week’s Grand Final against Catalans Dragons. Saints thrashed Leeds in the penultimate round of regular season games 40-6, and unsurprisingly are favourites to repeat that success. Spreadex go 2/9 for Saints to win, with Leeds 10/3.
St Helens are going for a third title in a row, and after 8 straight wins against the Rhinos, it would be brave to back against them. Awaiting the winners of this semi-final are Catalans, who put an end to the fairytale run of Hull KR to make the Old Trafford showpiece for the first time.Click here to see all our latest Rugby League spread betting and Rugby League fixed odds betting prices.
