It’s 4th versus 2nd when West Ham welcome Liverpool to the London Stadium looking for their 4th straight win.Despite their recent form, the Hammers are 15/4, reflecting the record of opponents Liverpool, the only unbeaten team in the Premier League. It’s Breeders Cup weekend in the States, but domestic racing is centred on Doncaster and Aintree on Saturday.Doncaster’s November Handicap signals the final day of the flat season. There will be a big field charging the 1m3f course, with First Light expected to go off as favourite.
In Liverpool, the Grand Sefton Handicap, held over the Grand National fences, looks wide open. Paul Nicholls has a decent record in this race, and his main hope is Cat Tiger. Elsewhere, the T20 world Cup continues with England facing South Africa in their final group game. Winning all four of their games so far, Eoin Morgan’s side are just about guaranteed a place in the semi-finals, though they won’t want to let their standards start slipping now.
