WHO WILL WIN THE 2021/22 CHAMPIONSHIP OPENER?

BOURNEMOUTH V WEST BROM, FRIDAY 7.45PM SKY SPORTS FOOTBALL

The Cherries face The Baggies as the Championship season gets underway. With the league being renowned as a 'free for all' in which almost every team has a chance at booking a potential passage to the Premier League, both of these sides will have that very objective in mind - especially West Brom, who were relegated last season as Sam Allardyce could not keep them up.

With an extremely busy schedule of matches to come for both sides this season, they will be hopeful of getting their campaign underway with all three points here, and proving their credentials of a promotion push this season as early as possible.

With fans back in attendance at the Vitality Stadium after the relaxing of Covid restrictions, Bournemouth will hope to extend their record of winning every Championship season opener (x3), and at a ground that suggests a winner either way as there were just three draws here in the last league season.

After failing in the play-offs last time around, Bournemouth will hope that new manager Scott Parker will be able to lead them even further this time around, while although West Brom equalled an unwanted record of 5 relegations from the Premier League, they will be looking to immediately bounce back for the third time.

The last four H2Hs between these two in fact came in the top division, and the matches were shared with two wins apiece for both sides. That history suggests a draw is unlikely here - but that result is available at 9/4 on the fixed odds.

Bournemouth are available at 7/5 to grab the three points, while West Brom are at 15/8. On the spreads, we have Bournemouth/West Brom at 0-0.25, along with Total Goals at 2.5-2.7 and Total Goal Minutes at 129-139.

WHO WILL WIN THE OLYMPIC FINAL?

BRAZIL V SPAIN, SATURDAY 12.30PM  EUROSPORT PLAYER

Two footballing heavyweights will collide for Olympic Gold in Tokyo, hoping to cap off a summer of football with some success, after both nations suffered disappointing defeats with their senior teams in the Copa America and EUROs respectively. The blend of youth and experience in these Olympic squads should mean an entertaining and well-matched game will be expected, and both sides will have equal chances of winning Gold.

Spain booked their place in the final after a tough extra-time victory over the impressive hosts Japan, while Brazil also had to overcome adversity, beating Mexico on a penalty shootout after a 0-0 stalemate. The Brazilians, led by the veteran Dani Alves, will look to now defend their Olympic title from Rio 2016.

Another tight and cagey match is expected here, with a Total Goals spread of 1.95-2.15 available, along with Total Goal Minutes at 99-109 and Brazil/Spain Supremacy at 0-0.2. On the fixed odds, Brazil are at 17/10 to win, with Spain at 2/1, and the Draw after 90mins at 9/5.
