Ipswich's Macauley Bonne seems to be hiding behind the Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper as he looks to take his kick - What Happens Next?
We’re in the middle of another international break as the World Cup qualifiers continue, though England could probably win their game against Andorra without taking any kind of break at all.Gareth Southgate’s men are 1/50 favourites to take the three points against the team ranked 156th in the world, with Andorra 50/1 and the draw 16/1.
The Total Goals line is set at 4-4.3, with Total Goal Minutes at 204-219. England ‘only’ managed a 4-0 Wembley win against Andorra last month, and on a much-criticised plastic pitch, it could take the visitors some time to find their feet, literally. The first home nation in action are Wales, who travel to the Czech Republic for a crucial game without the injured Gareth Bale.
The two teams are level on points in Group E behind runaway leaders Belgium, and a win for either side would make them big favourites to secure the runner-up spot and place in the play-offs.Wales are 17/4 underdogs, with the Czechs 3/4 and the draw 23/10. A low scoring game is expected, with our Total Goals spread set at just 2.15-2.35.
Scotland can open up a four-point cushion in second place in Group F on Israel if they can beat them on Saturday night. A play-off spot would be massive for the Scots, who surely can’t catch Denmark at the top to qualify automatically.Another team with designs on a play-off position are Northern Ireland, who travel to Switzerland on Saturday. A win would put them level on points with the Swiss in the battle for the play-off spot, with European champions Italy well away at the top of the group.
The biggest international game of the weekend is the final of the Nations League between Spain and France at the San Siro in Milan. After their thrilling comeback against Belgium in the semi-finals, winning 3-2 having been 2-0 down at half-time, France are favourites to win the Nations League. They are 6/4 with Spain 2/1 and the draw 21/10. Didier Deschamps’ men are 4/5 to lift the trophy, while Spain are even money.Click here to see all our latest Football spread betting and Football fixed odds betting prices. There are two big races at Newmarket on Saturday as part of Dubai Future Champions Day. The best two-year-olds of the year line up for The Dewhurst (2.55pm) with Godolphin’s unbeaten Native Trail an odds-on favourite. Bayside Boy, who won the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster a month ago, looks the main danger.
The Cesarewitch Handicap (3.35pm) looks a much more open race, certainly with a much bigger field. Ryan Moore will be on the favourite, MC Muldoon, but plenty have decent chances here.Click here to see all our latest Horse Racing spread betting and Horse Racing fixed odds betting prices. The World Grand Prix will be decided on Saturday night at the Morningside Arena in Leicester over the best of nine sets. Always a crowd favourite with its ‘doubles away’ format, it could be the man the crowd seems to love to hate, Gerwyn Price, who takes the title for a second year in a row.
The Iceman is favourite, and as long as he can see off Stephen Bunting in Friday’s semi, he will start the final in the box seat to claim the £110,000 first prize against either Danny Noppert or Jonny Clayton.Click here to see all our latest Darts spread betting and Darts fixed odds betting prices. Whether you’re getting up early on Sunday morning or battling through Saturday night, the third meeting between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder for the world heavyweight title is must-see TV.Fury is 4/11 to beat Wilder again, while the American challenger is 9/4 to avenge his defeat in the second meeting in February last year. It’s 22/1 the draw. The two meet in Las Vegas again, with the action estimated to get underway around 5am.
The Gypsy King carried the fight to Wilder in their second meeting, and proved too big and too strong for the Bronze Bomber, the towel coming in during the 7th round.
Wilder has a list of excuses as long as a Fury celebratory song, and has sacked Mark Breland, the trainer who saved his man from further punishment by tossing the towel. Wilder says that Fury cheated with the tape on his hands, that his own ring walk outfit was too heavy and plenty more besides, but the previously unbeaten 35-year-old is now fighting to save his career.
The Spreadex Fight Minutes spread is set at 22-23.5 minutes, so this fight is expected to last under 8 rounds. Fury is odds on to win by stoppage at 5/6.Click here to see all our latest Boxing spread betting and Boxing fixed odds betting prices. Or click here to find out more about Boxing spread betting.
It’s never easy in the world of F1, and Sunday’s Turkish GP has already been complicated by a grid penalty for Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champ is currently two points ahead of Max Verstappen, and was fastest in Istanbul in early qualifying, but Mercedes decided to take the 10-place grid penalty in order to bring a fourth engine into the business end of the season.
Verstappen came from the back of the grid last time out after his own penalty to finish second to Hamilton in Russia, and the champ will be looking to do something similar himself on Sunday in Turkey.Click here to see all our latest Formula 1 spread betting and Formula 1 fixed odds betting prices. Just a month after her fairytale in New York, from qualifier to champion, US Open champ Emma Raducanu enters the tournament nicknamed the ‘5th Major’ as favourite for another title.
Given a bye in round one, the 18-year-old Brit faces Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the second round at Indian Wells at about 2am on Saturday morning. Raducanu is 2/9 favourite to win with Sasnovich 3/1.
A combination of the absences of the world’s two top ranked players, Ash Barty and Aryna Sabalenka, and Raducanu’s amazing run at the US Open, where she won every game in straight sets without even needing a tie break, has led to the British number 1 going into this event as 17/2 favourite, though it looks wide open.Click here to see all our latest Tennis spread betting and Tennis fixed odds betting prices.
